Local businesses are the reason why our Lubbock community is the hub city it is.
Our local business owners support our rich history and encourage locals and visitors to stop a while and enjoy everything we have to offer.
Our restaurants, medical centers, universities, wineries, museums, retail stores, and cultural center all have a story to tell because of the time and effort owners have poured into making them so welcoming.
Today, we’re celebrating La Sirena Cocina.
A Texas Cheer for La Sirena Cocina
We’ve been eating good food here for several years.
It is a great place for a quiet dinner or drinks. A family-owned restaurant, La Sirena Cocina started as a mother-daughter team offering New Mexico-influenced cuisine.
They have high-end dinner options like Beef Short Rib Mole – a seared, boneless short rib with mole poblano, fermented curtido, and roasted local squash and hominy.
They also have vegetarian options. All their food is from sustainable sources, and they aim to cook organic vegetables, ethically raised meat, and dairy items from pasture-raised animals.
See the dinner menu. I love their crispy Brussels sprouts!
Their cocktails are also distinctive. Try a Cold Smoked Old Fashioned with Mezcal Amaras, old smoked cherry, Ancho Reyes liqueur, Aztec chocolate bitters, and orange peel.
The service is excellent, and they accommodate my reservation every time I call – even on short notice!
For Diners with Hearing Difficulties in Loud Environments
With hearing loss, it is often nice to have quiet options for dinner. La Sirena Cocina has outdoor seating by a quiet courtyard or indoor seating. Both are pretty quiet!
