How Do ‘Curbside Appointments’ Work?

In March, a new problem emerged almost overnight that caused the whole team to think carefully: how can patients still receive hearing care when they can’t be in contact with their audiologist.

This resulted in a completely new service, ‘Curbside Appointments’

The service gave you the opportunity to visit any of Cornerstone Audiology’s three locations – in Lubbock, Big Spring, or Snyder – and receive excellent treatment and support from your vehicle.

As patients began to enjoy using the service, the team realized that this wasn’t just a solution for COVID-19, but also, part of audiology’s future. Now, Curbside Appointments are essential to the approach taken at Cornerstone Audiology, alongside in-person visits and Tele Audiology.

Something the team often gets asked prior to a booking is, “how does it work?”

#1 – Plan your visit

It’s preferable to book your Curbside Appointment before coming to one of the offices. This will give the team an idea of what you require and will ensure a member of the team is available.

However, it’s also possible to drive-up without an appointment, though this may mean that you wait a little longer than others.

#2 – Parking and Calling Us

When you arrive, you just need to find a parking spot and call the office. In our Lubbock office, there are designated parking spaces near our Service Center, simply pull into space #1, #2 or #3 and let us know you are here.

Please don’t leave your vehicle – a member of the team will come to meet you and give you further instructions.

This process shouldn’t take more than two minutes.

#3 – Receive Help and Care

Once the team is available, you’ll be able to receive quick assistance just as you would if you went for an in-clinic visit.

Altogether, this makes appointments, easy, effective, and simple and ensures that your safety remains the top priority.

Dr. Hubik is the owner and founder of one of West Texas' most trusted and professional hearing providers, Cornerstone Audiology.
