What’s The Difference Between Cornerstone Audiology And Livingston Hearing Aid Center?

07/13/2021 | Curbside Appointments, Hearing Aids, Hearing Loss, Local News, Patient Resources

When it comes to choosing the right hearing care experts in West Texas, you have some decisions to make…

There are many different clinics, groups, and ways to purchase hearing aids, which means that we often receive phone calls asking what is the difference between us and others.

One of the common names that we are asked to compare ourselves to is Livingston Hearing Aid Center.

Although Livingston is a group with many locations throughout Texas, they have an office based on 50th Street and you may have even received marketing materials and promotions from them.

In this article, we want to share ten reasons why many local people decide that we’re the right hearing care experts for them.

#1 – All Of Our Providers Are Doctors Of Audiology

Though Livingston Hearing Aid Center in Lubbock does have several audiologists on staff, not all of their providers are audiologists.

Sometimes new patients at Livingston are seen by hearing aid dispensers whose training and experience are less comprehensive.

All providers at Cornerstone Audiology are Doctors of Audiology and are also Texas Tech Graduates.  You never have to worry when scheduling your first hearing evaluation at Cornerstone Audiology.

That appointment gives you access to four locally trusted hearing care experts that have successfully helped thousands of local people to achieve better hearing.

Our team includes Julie Hubik, Au.D., Deanna Wann, Au.D., Christina Turner, Au.D., and Courtney Arnold, Au.D.  All are fully equipped to diagnose and treat hearing loss for each individual patient’s needs.

#2 – We Offer Remote Audiology & Hearing Aid Services

When the pandemic hit in 2020, Hearing Care Practices were among the many businesses that needed to adapt in order to keep offering care in the safest way.

Cornerstone Audiology is extremely proud to have been able to adapt and upgrade our services to include remote options, such as:

∙ Telehealth appointments, where patients can enjoy their appointment from their homes, either on the phone or via Zoom.

∙ We also introduced our Curb-side service, which allows our patients to receive treatment from the safety of their own car.

To our knowledge, we are the only group of hearing care practices in Lubbock and Snyder to offer these services.

#3 – Cochlear Implant Treatment Specialists

Our expertise stretches far beyond hearing aids.

For patients who have a severe-to-profound hearing loss, we are proud to say that we are part of the cochlear provider network.  Dr. Courtney Arnold is trained to perform cochlear implant evaluations as well as cochlear implant programming.

As Lubbock and Snyder’s first provider of the Cochlear Implant Program, you can be confident that we’re continually pushing the envelope to deliver the highest level of care to patients.

#4 – Our Team Is Certified In Tinnitus Management

Another service that is offered at Cornerstone Audiology is for patients who suffer from tinnitus (i.e., ringing in their ears).

Dr. Christina Turner has a special certification in tinnitus management to help our patients who have tried to cope on their own and need new strategies/treatment options to help manage the ringing or noises in their ears.

#5 – Awarded “Best of the West” 7 Years Running

You can be confident knowing that you’re being cared for by a multi-award-winning clinic, as we have been awarded as “Best of the West” for seven consecutive years, for our outstanding patient care. We are also frequent winners of the Best of Lubbock Award!

#6 – We’re Trusted By Physicians

Local physicians trust us as their hearing experts, referring patients and calling us to ask for our expertise.

When it comes to your hearing health, you want to ensure you are being cared for by the most trusted team in West Texas, and local physicians believe that to be us.

Do you need some expert advice?

#7 – We’re Partners With Multiple Insurance Companies (And Have An Insurance Specialist In-House!)

By being connected with multiple hearing insurance companies including Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Humana, Aetna and Medicare, we’re able to help you to maximize your insurance benefits and access the highest levels of hearing care.

In fact, you can even check your insurance benefits through our website by clicking here.

But, if you’d prefer us to check for you, our in-house Insurance Benefit Specialist will be happy to help.

#8 – Our Patients Are Like Family

Our largest source of referrals is from our very own patients. That’s because we have mutual respect and admiration for one another.

We host multiple patient appreciation parties each year and enjoy the life-long relationships we have built with the population we serve.

#9 – Only Hearing Aid Service Center In West Texas

Cornerstone Audiology opened the doors to the only Service Center in West Texas in 2018 to offer the BEST and most convenient care for our hearing aid patients.

We realize that hearing aids require service and attention, and you don’t have time to make an appointment.

Our Service Center helps patients by cleaning and troubleshooting their hearing aids to get them back out in the world as soon as possible.

#10 – We Have A Spanish-Speaking Audiologist In-House

It’s so important for us to be able to help as many people as possible, and that includes those who don’t speak English as their first language.

We’d like to reassure patients that, if Spanish is your preferred language, then our very own Deanna Wann, Au.D. would be more than happy to converse with you in Spanish.

Just let us know upon booking and we’ll do our best to ensure you get seen by Deanna.

Final Comments
