Curbside Appointments

A Rapid Solution for Contact-Free Hearing Care

The way we live our lives is vastly different from before the COVID-19 outbreak. Everyday social situations have changed, as people try to halt the spread of the virus.

One simple solution that the team at Cornerstone Audiology devised in response to the pandemic was Curbside Appointments. This lets patients receive a range of treatments and essential resources from the safety and security of their private vehicles.

Since it was launched, Curbside Appointments have become a valued service at Cornerstone. Doctors of Audiology have helped people in our community to gain access to excellent hearing health care services, just like in the clinic.

This success means Curbside Appointments are here to stay – an approach that will enhance Cornerstone Audiology’s duty to every patient well into the future.

What are Curbside Appointments?

In a snapshot, a Curbside Appointment is no different from any other drive-through style experience. But Cornerstone Audiology provides expert hearing care – not burgers and fries!

Some of the services the team can provide include:

  • Hearing aid clean and check
  • Smartphone pairing
  • Hearing aid fitting
  • Hearing aid adjustment
  • Hearing test

Patients just need to remain in the comfort of their vehicle, and the team will work hard to assist them as quickly as possible.

Service was fast and efficient amid the Covid-19 pandemic. I really enjoyed your innovative idea for employee face masks with the visible mouth for us hearing impaired folks! I appreciated the offer of water/soft drinks while my husband and I had to wait in the car. I'm always pleased with service and staff when I visit.

How Does It Work?

Most patients choose to book a Curbside Appointment in advance, so they can be served at a time that is most convenient for them.  But this isn’t a necessity. You can also drive-up and simply wait to be served, or drop off your hearing devices and come back later to pick them up.

Curbside Appointments are available at both of our locations.

Once you arrive at one of our offices, call that location, and share which vehicle you are in with the front desk. A member of the team will then assist you as quickly as possible.

Outstanding hearing care has never been so easy to obtain.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How Does a Hearing Test in My Car Work?

Patients have come to expect a standard procedure during a hearing test, where they enter a sound booth and listen to different noises. However, it is possible to conduct hearing tests in different environments. Cornerstone Audiology now has the capacity to test people during Curbside Appointments.

Patients just need to put on a pair of noise-cancelling headphones. They then use a sanitized tablet to take part in the step-by-step test.

After the assessment is complete, patients get the results immediately, and their doctor of audiology can then give precise information about the status of their hearing.

Q: What’s the Average Wait Time?

The average wait time for those who attend pre-booked Curbside Appointments is less than two minutes. All you need to do is phone through to the office, and a member of the team will come and meet you.

For those who come without an appointment, there’s a chance that your wait could be slightly longer. But the team at Cornerstone Audiology will work hard to serve you as soon as possible.

Q: Can Others Be in The Car with Me?

You’re more than welcome to bring loved ones with you to Cornerstone Audiology. However, no one can leave the vehicle during an appointment.
