Small and local family business is a passion of mine.
It’s inspiring for me to watch small businesses grow and develop – whether that’s supporting more staff, expanding to new premises or just simply providing great product/service.
But during the challenges of recent times, I’ve watched as so many small businesses have had to work tirelessly to overcome change, challenges, restrictions and a situation that no one was expecting.
I asked my team at Cornerstone to name a few of their favorite businesses in town. Today we want to celebrate these five local businesses who have made drastic changes to continue to deliver the high-quality product/service that they’re known for.
Today, I want to celebrate their hard work and encourage you to support local and visit them.
#1 – Kadiza Hair Studio – www.kadizahairstudio.net
Locally owned, hard-working team who puts their clients first and offer great customer service – I love visiting them.
They sell great products and take excellent care of you!
Recommended for women, men and kids!
#2 – Stacked Restaurant – www.stackedlbk.com
They’ve always had amazing food and great service, but their innvotation during these difficult times has been incredible.
They were quick to offer FREE pick-up and delivery and offered our patients 25% off just for being Cornerstone peeps! Have you tried their pecan crusted chicken? Oh my!
#3 – Barque – www.barquegifts.com
Great for gifts and invitations! Contactless curbside pick-up, gift wrap for free. Always good customer service!
#4 – Lubbock Breakfast House – www.lubbockbreakfasthouse.com
Order ahead, then honk your horn when you get here and they will come out with your order! Awesome personal touches like writing sweet messages on the boxes of their to-go orders. Great for Saturday morning breakfast!
#5 – Capital Pizza – www.capitalpizzalubbock.com
Very family friendly and customer service is always top notch.
Their pizza is the best! They also have craft beers which are yummy. Curb-side pick-up is available and delivery too!
My encouragement to you is to support local during these times and celebrate the great businesses that we’re lucky to have.
I may even see you there!
