Because of our desire for thoroughness, we asked some of our patients to take part in a trial with the ReSound Omnia. These trusted patients were told to put the hearing aids to the test, to wear them consistently for 14 days, and then to check back in with us to provide any positives and negatives they found.
Their feedback is in, and now we want to share it with you so that you have as much information as possible before you purchase a pair for yourself.

So, what do our patients think?
We wanted to create as diverse a pool of voices as we could, and so we asked many patients to be a part of this trial.
After 14 days of wearing the ReSound Omnia hearing aids, several patients came back and shared their experiences and whether they would recommend them or not. We always tell our patients the truth, so here is the positive, and negative, feedback from the trial users.
Here’s what they had to say:
Stacey rated the ReSound Omnia a 9 out of 10 and found that sound was more crisp and she experienced more clarity in speech. She noted that the Omnia worked better in wind than her other hearing aids, and she could hear a conversation in a crowd much better. She would certainly recommend them to others
June didn’t notice much of a difference from her other hearing aids and did notice that the connectivity to her phone was good at first but then stopped being beneficial. She recommends interested persons to try them out.
Another patient rated them a 5 out of 10 and felt that it was easier to identify directional noises and where they were coming from. Sound quality was definitely crisper and clearer, but this patient found that new sounds would have an echo-like quality at first. This patient really enjoyed the quality of quieter sounds, for example, birds chirping and leaves rustling, and also found that the app was easy to use! While this patient wouldn’t choose them, they do recommend them for other people.
Joyce did not notice a difference from her other hearing aids but still encourages others to try them out and see if they make a difference.
Shirley found the sound to be much crisper but not when watching TV or in a conversation. She found that she had to turn the volume up to hear better. While she wouldn’t recommend them, she did rate them a 5/10.
Renay struggled with the hearing aids switching between settings on their own, which made it hard for her to hear at times. She did find that the sound quality was much better than her current hearing aids but only when they stayed connected.
Peggy is another patient who wasn’t impressed with the ReSound Omnia hearing aids and didn’t find that they were as good as her current hearing aids.
Kurt was very impressed with the ReSound Omnia hearing aids and rated them a 9 out of 10! He noted they were light weight, and it was easy to forget they were even in. Specifically, he found that they did not squeal during music events, not even during high pitch instruments, specifically violin notes. Kurt found them to provide more of a natural hearing environment and would certainly recommend them to others!
Brenda is another patient who was very happy with the ReSound Omnia hearing aids! She loved the convenience of the charger instead of having to use batteries and found the sound quality to be much better than her other hearing aids. She rated them a 10/10!
Alwyn rated the Omnia a 9/10 and found that the hearing devices helped him to hear more clearly, specifically in restaurants.
Tom found the sound to be much clearer, even at a lower sound level. He noted that he could hear his wife from two rooms away and would certainly recommend them to others!
Barry liked that there was less background noise, specifically at church and at a café. He rated them a 10 out of 10 and eagerly recommends them to others.
Michael liked the fit of the ReSound Omnia and the crisper sound. When watching TV and talking with his wife, Michael noted that he could hear more words. He gave them a 9/10.
Carl found the ReSound Omnia to provide improved clarity but still missed out on some conversation with family. He did like that it was easier to hear transitions in conversation and tried out the Front Focus feature at a café and really liked the difference this feature made! He recommended them heartily.
Cary is another user who liked the ReSound Omnia hearing aid and found the sound to be clearer and really enjoyed the noise filter.
Marybeth rated the ReSound Omnia a 10/10 and gave thorough feedback. She noted that the sound was steady, it didn’t go off then on again, liked that the batteries were rechargeable, found background noise to be easier to block out, and liked the ease with which she could increase and decrease the sound level. She attended a concert and felt the sound was perfect! Her high praise certainly means she would recommend them to others.
Mike found the sound to be better all around, specifically when talking to his grandson. He rated them an 8/10 and recommends them to others.
Betty liked that the Omnia stayed charged longer but didn’t find a huge difference in sound quality from her current hearing aids. She would recommend them to others though.
Ronald rated the Omnia a 10/10 and would recommend them to others!
Dennis was one tester who did not see any improvement over his older device. He wouldn’t recommend them to others, which is one reason why we encourage honesty and love the feedback we get from our trusted patients!
Joy enjoyed no wind noise and said that the shape was much more conducive to glasses wearers. She liked the position of the mics and found that they helped with clearer hearing. In a restaurant with background noise and music, she found that she could still hear conversation! She recommends them to others.
James rated the ReSound Omnia an 8/10 and shared the story of being at a Sunday school class where many conversations were occurring at once. He was able to hear better in that situation and was able to hear the teacher better as well.
Wes was impressed by the sound clarity of the ReSound Omnia as compared with his other device. He experienced some feedback issues in the beginning but was able to adjust the Omnia with the app and fix the problem. He rated them an 8/10 and recommends them to others!
Another satisfied tester was Zane, who found that the forward mic helped to eliminate unwanted sounds when in crowds. Specifically, he found that when at a crowded restaurant, he was able to focus on his party and actually hear what they were saying! He recommends them to others and rated them an 8/10.
