It’s finally here.
The wait is over; we have a winner for our 2022 Hear for the Holidays competition. Breaking the good news to our winner is always my favorite part.
After weeks of deliberation and carefully evaluating every nominee, selecting this year’s winner was no easy task. But when the hard work is done, it feels great to see it pay off.
This year, we had more nominations than ever, and each submission was very well thought out.
All the nominees deserve the best hearing care possible, and we would love to help each of them. Not winning shouldn’t mean the end of your hearing healthcare journey!
This is our third time running this competition, and our admiration for your participation grows each year. While finding a winner is the primary objective, we also aim to raise awareness among more people within our community of the impact of hearing loss.
Prevention is still our best option in the fight against hearing loss, so the more we educate local people in Lubbock and Snyder, the better chance we have.
However, our winner doesn’t have to worry anymore, as she will be fitted with the latest in technology and, more importantly, will be custom fitted by one of our professionals.
Our Deserving Winner
We’re delighted to announce Anita as the deserving winner of the 2022 Hear for the Holidays competition!
Her nomination really hit home with our staff, as Anita not only cares about her family but her community as well.
She is single-handedly raising her two granddaughters, which takes up most of her time, as many of us can imagine. She also works full time and makes salsa and burritos with her granddaughters on the side to make ends meet.
Anita reported being previously tested for hearing loss, but she couldn’t afford hearing aids and wore over-the-counter hearing devices for a bit without much benefit.
“Anita described issues hearing on a daily basis that are impacting her ability to care for her granddaughters and interact with her family.”
After reading this in Anita’s nomination, we unanimously voted for her and feel confident she is the most deserving.
Her Reaction Says It All…
Upon receiving the news, Anita was understandably emotional. Restoring her hearing will significantly help with her everyday activities – not to mention those cherished moments with her granddaughters.
Anita was very grateful and thanked everyone involved, including her nominator. After leaving the office, she reported being able to hear more clearly and was very excited to enjoy each day to its fullest.
About the Nomination
The purpose of this contest is to assist those who need it most and raise awareness of the need for proper hearing healthcare within our community.
Our nomination came from a fellow patient who directed us to Anita, and we are so thankful they did – it just highlights the incredible spirit in our community.
We choose the winner based on their experience and always follow up with each nominee to get all the details.

What about Next Year?
With another successful run behind us, we’re already looking forward to next year. How can we make it better and help even more people? We will be looking for new ways to improve, just like we do for providing hearing healthcare.
