Happy October banner with pumpkins

There’s something wonderful about October, isn’t there? Maybe I am partial because it is the month of my birthday, but seriously… the smell of pumpkin-spiced anything and pumpkin candles? The leaves changing and cool weather and the beautiful colors of fall.

Our team is dressing up for Halloween at both our Big Spring and Lubbock offices! Any guesses about the theme of our costumes?

Stop by our office on Thursday, October 31st from 3:00-4:30 for cookies and see for yourself, I promise it will be worth it!

WE ALSO HAVE CANDY….Bring your kiddos by to trick or treat all afternoon!

See you soon!

It’s no secret that people neglect their hearing health – it seems to be the last priority for most people until they notice something isn’t quite right.

This month, we will be sharing some great hints, tips, and spreading some hearing health awareness over on our social media. We would love it if you could get involved and share our Facebook content with your family and friends and help us in our fight to bring more awareness to the amazing world of audiology so that we can preserve the wonder of our hearing for years to come!

Not everyone is aware, but some medications, such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS), can sometimes contribute to hearing loss.

Only ever take medications as directed, and if you have any concerns regarding your hearing health and any medications you may be taking, always bring it up with your health care provider.

According to the World Health Organization, the USA has a hearing loss rate of 4.41%, but it may surprise you to know that the country with the highest rate of hearing loss is Russia, with a rate of 7.58%!

Crazy figures, huh?
