Signia’s founder produced an amplified telephone receiver in Singapore in 1878, and the production of the company’s first line of hearing aids became available in 1910. Since then, Signia produces one out of every four hearing aids used worldwide.
Partnered with Siemens for a short time at the outset of the 21st century, the company returned to independent status as a hearing aid manufacturer in 2015 as Sivantos Group. The merger that created WS Audiology established Signia as the new brand name for Siemens hearing instruments.
