Siemens Hearing Aids
Siemens began as a manufacturer of telegraphic instruments more than 170 years ago, changing their focus to the invention of instruments to address hearing challenges almost 150 years ago through the development of an amplified telephone receiver in 1877.
Their first BTE (behind-the-ear) instrument came out in 1959, and their first (ITE) in-the-ear hearing aid was introduced in 1966.
Siemens became Sivantos in 2015, producing Signia hearing aids using Siemens’ technology, while continuing to release Siemens hearing aids.
The Sivantos Group merged with Widex to create WS Audiology in 2019, making Siemens a part of the world’s largest hearing aid manufacturing group.

Advanced Hearing Solutions from Siemens
Siemens’s leading innovation is their binax platform, which is able to simulate binaural hearing with an eight microphone network (four per hearing aid) to wirelessly share and balance audio data using their e2e wireless technology.
Narrow Directionality, Spatial Speech Focus, eWindScreen binaural, and High Definition Sound Resolution are also binax platform features capable of helping clarify your sound experience. Binax technology, in two studies conducted by the University of Northern Colorado and the Hearing Center of the University of Oldenburg, demonstrated the platform’s capacity to produce sound that allows hearing instruments wearers an advantage over those with normal hearing in a noisy environment.
