Oticon Hearing Aids
One of the world’s oldest hearing aid manufacturers, Oticon’s electric Acousticon hearing aid devices were first offered to the public in 1904.
Their partnership with Charles Lehman led to the formation of the American-Danish Oticon Corporation which became the leading provider of hearing aids after World War II and a worldwide contender by 1965.
1977 saw the release of their first ultra-discreet in-the-ear (ITE) hearing device, followed in 1996 by the company’s first digital device.
Oticon introduced the first devices with improved sound sensitivity as well as streaming and connectivity features in 2007.

Hear what Dr. Hubik says about Oticon Hearing Aids:
“We are fairly new to recommending Oticon, but are very excited to have the opportunity. Our team has been servicing Oticon hearing aids for many years, but haven’t dispensed any new devices until recently. Oticon makes an AMAZING product.
So far, our patients in Oticon have noticed a very gentle sound processing that is easy to listen to and very easy to adjust to wearing hearing devices, especially for first time hearing aid wearers.
Oticon is also a great choice for patients who need a CROS hearing aid. This type of device is designed for people who have some degree of hearing loss in one ear and a ‘dead ear’ or unaidable hearing in the other ear.
The CROS (Contralateral routing of signal) sends auditory information from the dead side to the better ear wirelessly so that the patient doesn’t miss out on conversation on that side.
We are happy to service Oticon hearing aids in our service center or discuss if this product is a good fit for you or your loved ones based on your unique hearing loss and lifestyle.”
Hearing Technology Solutions from Oticon
Oticon’s 21st century focus has been based on their Brain Hearing philosophy which works to support how the brain processes sound by providing it with the elements necessary to create meaning from sound instead of only providing amplification.
The Opn solution, developed in 2016, optimized the ability of device wearers to distinguish between multiple speakers within a noisy environment, while also being the first hearing device to provide internet connectivity (ConnectClip) using the IFTTT (If This Then That) Network.
With twenty-five years of experience using digital technology, Oticon has built devices with higher quality of sound and enhanced instrument performance, but with investments into micro-digital technology the company is able to manufacture increasingly smaller devices without sacrificing performance capacity.
Thanks to streaming capabilities, Oticon integrated Tinnitus SoundSupport into their hearing devices that transmits white noise and other tinnitus masking sounds for auditory relief.
Oticon’s Genie Remote Support
Oticon’s Genie fitting and counseling tool helps your hearing care provider fit your device while allowing for ongoing counseling and support without the necessity of an in-office appointment.
