Lyric Extended Wear Hearing Aids

The combination of digital nano-technology and specialized materials technology that made it possible to produce water-resistant housings led to the development and production of the world’s first extended wear hearing aid, Lyric. Well-suited for highly active individuals and quite different from traditional hearing aids, Lyric is placed deep in the ear canal by a qualified audiologist or ENT doctor, making it 100% invisible.

The need for changing and/or charging batteries, as well as cleaning and maintenance, is no longer necessary with Lyric. Its unique placement allows you to enjoy the benefits of better hearing without anyone ever knowing that you use one while producing clear, natural sound that outperforms open-fit hearing devices.

Fourth generation models include a smaller media module designed to help improve wearing comfort. Extended wear devices allow you to continue daily activities, like showering, talking on the phone, exercising, using headphones, and sleeping without having to remove your hearing device.

With Lyric, Tinnitus annoyance is reduced faster than daily wear hearing aids while also providing greater tinnitus relief and an improved sleep quality. SoundLync, a magnetic adjustment tool that allows you to adjust the volume, turn the device on and off, set it in sleep mode, and remove the device if necessary, also comes with Lyric instruments.

Dr. Christina Corrales, Au.D., CCC-A about Lyrics extended wear hearing aids

Hear with Dr. Corrales says about Extended Wear Lyric Hearing Aids:

“Phonak also makes the Lyric hearing aid. Our team is known as ‘Lyric Elite’ as we have incredible experience with this device. Lyric is an extended wear device that stays in the ear for 8-10 weeks.

It is invisible and a wonderful solution for patients who don’t want their hearing aids to show or have dexterity issues and cannot put the device on and off everyday. We also recommend Lyric for patients with tinnitus (i.e., ringing in the ears).

The Lyric provides constant stimulation to the ear which helps our tinnitus patients to focus on sound around them instead of internal sounds that are bothersome.

Lyric also is great for patients with dementia as the constant stimulation is ‘exercise’ for their brain, helping them to continue to hear well without the stress of losing traditional hearing devices.

We are happy to look into the option of Lyric to see if this product is a good fit for you or your loved ones based on your unique hearing loss and lifestyle.”

Cornerstone is a private practice and does not represent any one hearing aid company. This is great because they can select just the right aids for your unique needs. I am very pleased with their friendliness, professionalism and efficiency. The audiologist I met with was competent and capable. She explained everything I needed to know and helped me make informed choices. I would highly recommend Cornerstone Audiology.

Very professional and kind. Not always easy to be told you are losing your hearing and need hearing aids an age 54. Testing was quick, easy and very well explained. Options for hearing aids and payments options also well explained. Looks like I will be seeing them for all my hearing needs!!!

Dr. Wann and the entire staff at Cornerstone are the absolute best. They take the time to listen to your concerns and help you find the best possible hearing aids for you. I upgraded to new hearing aids yesterday and I couldn’t be more happy.

The Advanced Benefits of Lyric Extended Wear Hearing Aids

The Lyric helps to bring to an end the cycle of cleaning and battery changing for hearing aid wearers. Its unique placement, deep in the ear canal, also means it is both comfortable and invisible in regular situations. The fourth generation Lyric models of today are smaller than ever, bringing a convenience previously unknown.

More common open-fit hearing devices can occasionally be affected by outside noise, especially in a busy environment or, for example, when loud music is present. By being fitted within the ear canal itself, this problem is eliminated. It even means that that there is no need to remove the Lyric when sleeping or even showering.

The Lyric is designed specifically to be worn for long periods. So much so that Phonak, the manufacturer of the Lyric, included that very point in the name!
