In October 2021, West Texas hearing care expert, Julie Hubik from Cornerstone Audiology was announced winner of the Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Back in September, Cornerstone Audiology was invited along with 50 other hearing healthcare clinics to enter a competition, which awarded one winner a trip to the UK.

Julie Hubik, Winner:

From a young age, Julie Hubik became enamored by hearing after watching others around her struggle to communicate with hearing loss. From there, it became her passion to help others and ensure everyone gets to experience hearing all the sounds of life.

While Julie soon went on to achieve many great things – Cornerstone Audiology is her biggest victory. She had many challenges along the way, as does any small business owner, but wouldn’t trade any of them, as they led her to where she is today.

From opening up Cornerstone Audiology in 2007 to juggling many roles within the business, making sacrifices along the way, she now has a great team in place, two locations in West Texas and serves over 9,000 patients, with this number continuing to grow each every day.

She shares that the secrets to her success are surrounding herself with like-minded team members whose values are in line with that of the business, keeping the patients as the focus of all decisions.

She says, “After the year that we’ve had in 2020, with all the challenges, I enjoyed the opportunity to submit an application for the Entrepreneur of the Year award, it gave me the opportunity to reflect on the journey that led us to this point.”

“At the beginning of your career, you don’t realize how important each stepping stone is to the overall success of your journey and it was an honor to be a part of this.”

During the pandemic, Cornerstone Audiology was forced to close its doors in March 2020.  The team utilized this time to check in on their patients via phone and email daily to see how everyone was holding up, and if they needed anything at all.

Cornerstone Audiology was also one of the first companies to receive the Paycheck Protection Program Funding (PPP) in the U.S., which featured Dr. Hubik as well as Lubbock ABC Bank’s President, James Arnold in the Wall Street Journal.

Currently, we are accepting new patient appointments at our Lubbock and Snyder locations and we offer a range of services, including hearing assessments, earwax removal, tinnitus testing, hearing aid repair and programming, and cochlear implant candidacy and programming.

Congratulations, Julie! Our entire team is so proud of your achievements that have resulted in the continuing success of our clinic.

We appreciate you.

Do you know somebody that needs to see this? Why not share it?
